Do you shred documents on-site, or take them away?
Both, depending on what you want. Most clients go with on-site service, where we shred the paper at your location before the truck leaves and you can watch it happen. We can also handle destruction back at our Ontario facility. Either way, you get a Certificate of Destruction.
What's the difference between a one-time purge and recurring shredding?
A one-time purge is a single visit to clear out what's piled up, which is ideal for office cleanouts, moves, or finally getting through old archives. Recurring service puts locked collection containers at your business and comes back on a set schedule, which works better for teams that generate sensitive paper all the time. A lot of clients start with a purge and then set up a regular schedule.
How do you destroy hard drives, and why is that better than wiping them?
We physically destroy hard drives, solid state drives, and other media so the data can't be recovered. Wiping software and factory resets can leave behind data that the right tools are able to rebuild, and physical destruction takes that possibility off the table. As an R2v3 certified recycler, we process the destroyed material responsibly afterward.
Will I get proof that my material was destroyed?
Yes. Every job comes with a Certificate of Destruction that documents what was destroyed and when. If you want more than that, we can provide video of the destruction on request.
